REVIEW

This was a great movie. I think I enjoyed it the same amount as the first film. The only reason why I might have liked the first one better is because of John Krasinski's performance. And as many of you know, (spoilers from A Quiet Place) John Krasinski's character died in an emotional scene in the first movie. I really enjoyed his character and I know he was in the beginning of the second one, but it just wasn't the same. Overall, the film was very suspensful and a little more bloody than the first movie. The jumpscares were awesome, though predictable. John Krasinski, who was also the director, really knows how to keep the theater on the edge of their seats. Anyways, I'll stop blabbing. Here's the parents guide. :)

PARENT'S GUIDE

Violence and Scary Elements - 8/10

This is a pretty suspenseful and jumpscare-y movie, so prepare to be scared. A kid gets his ankle destroyed in a bear trap which results in a lot of pain and some blood/gore. The aliens kill a bunch of people at the beginning (not always shown). When the aliens die, it's kinda gross and there is a good amount of blood, usually in like a pool on the ground. "Boat people" get killed and eaten alive by the aliens (not super graphic but can be sensitive to some viewers). It's not really a disturbing movie, more just jump-out-of-your-seat kind of horror.

Sex - 0/10

Literally none

Language - 1/10

Very brief uses of "Jesus" and "damn."

Drinking/Drugs - 0.5/10

There are no drugs or any consumed alcohol, though they use vodka to clean the wound of the kid who got tangled up in the bear trap.

Positive Elements - 10/10

A bunch of positive elements, including the care for family, teamwork, helping others out, great role models, etc.
