REVIEW

Well, this movie takes the crown for the scariest movie of the year by far, if not one of the scariest I have ever seen. This movie is beyond terrifying, with jump scares littered throughout, tons of blood and disturbing gory shots, and an ending that will make you not want to fall asleep at night. This is definitely one to see in the theaters for the full experience, because the immersion I felt in this movie is incredible. The cinematography and audio were also on point in this movie. It had surprisingly beautiful shots in the midst of a horror movie and the camera movements were very fitting. The audio was the best part in my opinion. From the sound effects to the music, everything was eerie and creepy and fit the vibe of the movie perfectly. This movie also tackled some ideas on mental health, so make sure to watch out for that if you are sensitive to stuff like that. Make sure to not watch this one alone, but definitely check it out before it's too late.

PARENT GUIDE

Violence - 10/10

A lot of blood and gore. In the opening scene, you see a woman carve her face and throat with a piece of pottery, blood galore. A couple characters rip their face off, a man is stabbed repeatedly, TONS of effective and scary jump scares, arms get cut up from falling through a glass table, neck snapping down for a jump scare, graphic crime scene photos and videos with some gore and blood. There is a terrifying looking monster at the end of the movie who rips their face off to reveal one of the most haunting images I have ever seen. There is also a bloodied dead cat shown.

Sex - 2/10

You see a woman strip into her underwear and hop in the shower, nothing but bare upper back seen.

Language - 8/10

50 uses of f*ck, lesser uses of sh*t and g*ddamn, possibly lesser words.

Drinking/Drugs - 2/10

Prescription medicine, drinking wine to cope.

Positive Messages - 0/10

Nothing positive here!
